Adrienne Simmons, a 34-year-old female kickboxer, died Monday afternoon after taking part in a competition over the weekend. The Atlanta native was competing in Florida for an event sponsored by the International Kickboxing Federation. Simmons took a devastating left hook to the head during the third and final round of her fight. The promotion failed to have proper medical staff onsite and Simmons medical attention was delayed.

The MMA and Kickboxing community are coming together to give this horrific accident a voice.
